NAME & LOCATION
The name of this organization shall be the Houston Facial Hair Club. The Houston Facial Hair Club will meet within the Greater Houston area and/or its surrounding areas.
PURPOSE
The purpose(s) of Houston Facial Hair Club shall be:
To develop a facial hair friendly environment for all to enjoy within Houston, Greater Houston and its surrounding areas. We are dedicated to bringing people together who have and love facial hair to raise charitable funds. Keep on Growin’ is our motto and that is what we plan to do. We are here to keep our community Beardiful. We help raise funds for charities such as Movember, Friends for Life, BIG Love Cancer Care and other organizations by holding competitions, fundraisers and events and participating in volunteer service.
STATUS OF THE ORGANIZATION
The Houston Facial Hair Club is a group of persons/members participating voluntarily in a Facial Hair Club. For now we will be called a club. We will seek not-for-profit organization status and be considered to be an "unincorporated non-profit association" until non profit (501-3c) status is obtained.
MEMBERSHIP
Section 1.
Membership into the club is simple. The Houston Facial Hair Club is an organization that accepts members, fans, and sponsors aged 21 and over whether male or female. Those with facial hair or those that love and appreciate facial hair which includes beards, mustaches, chops, goatees, et cetera may become members of the Houston Facial Hair Club. We do collect yearly dues of $20 from members to help with costs of the club and events. To begin the membership process one must fill out a membership form, then like or follow our social media accounts to begin online participation. Start attending regular meetings and pay dues.
Section 2.
A person is a voting member in good standing when he, she, they:
Attend 2 or more meetings a year
Have paid dues of $20
Do 1 or more Volunteering/Community Service Projects a year (a minimum of 5 hours)
Participates in 1 competition or more a year
Works on and Helps plan club events
Does online participation
Promotes the club and events through word of mouth, posting stickers/posters in barbershops, online promotions, et cetera
Seeks sponsors/vendors
Does not violate club rules.
Section 3.
The rights of voting and holding an office are reserved for club members only.
Section 4:
In our club all are welcome and we don’t tolerate hate of any kind. This club will not discriminate membership based on political affiliation, familial status, disability, income level, employment status, gender, race, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or organizational affiliation.
Section 5:
Members may be asked to leave the club by the core members of the HFHC for violating club rules. All violations will be put to a vote within the core members. Each violation obtained you’ll receive a mark against you. Unless the violation is extreme the three strikes you’re out rule applies. We want you to have fun but be respectful and mindful of your conduct.
Section 6:
Dues shall be $20 per year payable upon membership and then during the month of January the next year and so on. Dues paid will apply to that year.(e.g. dues paid in January 2019 will apply to the year 2019 and so on.) If dues are not paid you will not be a full contributing member to the club. Dues collected will be used for club expenses, such as domain registration, website, website design, advertising, club merchandise, club events and competitions.
Section 7:
Officers of the club do not have to pay dues due to other club financial responsibilities.

Section 2:
The Houston Facial Hair Club leaders shall represent the club for all facial hair clubs, organizations, sponsors, vendors and the public locally, nationally and around the world.
Section 3:
The office of Executive Director is held by the owner/organizer/registered agent of the club and is a permanent position. The offices of President and Vice President shall be elected at the September meeting every 3 years. The officers shall take office at the end of that meeting. Elected officers must receive a majority of votes to be elected. Elected officers serve a term of 3 years and can be re-elected if they are in good standing. Nominations can be made by any active member or a person can volunteer for the officer position. The nominee/volunteer must formally accept before running for the position nominated for.
Section 4:
Election for new officers shall be conducted by vote by a show of hands for by voting members that are present and supervised by the Executive Director.
Section 5:
New officers shall be installed upon voting at the end of the meeting.
Section 6:
Vacancies in office shall be filled by election or special election. Special Elections will be held at the meeting after officer steps down from position.
MEET UPS
Section 1. Regular bi - monthly meetings shall be held the 1st or 2nd Saturday of every other month at 4:30PM at a location to be determined and announced on all social media and websites. All meetings are open to voting members, prospective members, members, fans, sponsors and the public. Location, date or time of club meeting will be announced at meetings, on the group, page and website. If a meeting is canceled it will be announced on all social media.
Section 2. Special meetings may be called by officials and elected officials may have private meetings amongst themselves with all officers present without other members present.
Section 3. A quorum of 5 members and/or officers shall be necessary to conduct business at a club meeting. (NOTE: A quorum is the minimum number of voting members who must be present at a meeting to make official binding decisions.)
Section 4. Officers are required to attend all meetings unless otherwise approved by another officer or an extenuating circumstance.
Section 5: When voting the majority rules.
Competitions
Charities: All competitions will be put on to help raise monies for charity. The charity will be determined by club members.
Club Members are encouraged to compete in the 1 club competition hosted by the Houston Facial Hair Club per year unless they are helping volunteer with the functionality of the event or there is an extenuating circumstance. Club members are also encouraged to go to competitions across Texas, the United States and around the World.
